I guess it was about time I started a blog…
Yesterday I saw this great 5 minute magic routine video and, I guess this was what inspired me to finally write a blog. This video really reflects a lot of what I stand for. I like to take care of myself, I like to put on my make-up and feel pretty. I also do those things for myself, not for others and not because society dictates that I should do it. Yes, I follow some trends, but only the ones that I like and that work for me.
I want this blog to be much more than just Flavia Bennett Designs. This WILL be about everything that makes me tick. It will be about me, the creator, the mamma, the wife. It will be about food, it will be about beauty, it will be about style, it will be about decor, it will be about travels, it will be a lifestyle blog.
I want to write for all the people out there that care about style, but don't let this be all they care about. I want to write about REAL, simple, doable things. I believe we can eat well, dress nice, look pretty, have a well styled house, and enjoy life without being a slave to our kitchen/ closet/ make-up bag/ house and without breaking the bank. I want to do all those things and still have time to go to my son's soccer practice, be a part time stay at home mom of my 2 year old daughter, actually make all those things I pin on Pinterest, cuddle with my husband and watch movies, and create all my beautiful jewelry!
No I am not wonder woman. Yes, I have a LOT of unfinished projects and it's been a couple of months since I last did my nails… I am real! And this blog will be just as real as me.
